BIOGRAPHY
Randal H. Edwards, ARA
Randy Edwards, ARA is a 1988 graduate of California State University Fresno with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business. Real Estate and Viticulture were his collegiate study concentrations. He spent two years with the Farmers Home Administration (now FSA) in Bakersfield as an Assistant County Supervisor. The next seven years of employment was with Central Valley Production Credit Association in Turlock as a staff appraiser. Edwards Appraisal Service was formed on a part time basis in 1996 and became a fully operational firm in 1997. Randy and Jeff Lien formed the partnership of Edwards & Lien in 2001. Edwards & Lien became Edwards & Lien, Inc. in 2003.
Throughout his career, he has been specifically educated in the appraisal of agricultural properties with now over 15 years of experience in the appraisal of such properties. He was awarded the professional designation of Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) in 1995, the highest rank, and the only title conferred on rural appraisers by the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. In 1993 he was certified by the State of California as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
He currently
serves as a second year board member and is on the Education, Land Value Trends
and Professional Advancement Committees for the California Chapter ASFMRA.
He has been the Committee Chairman for the Trends in Agricultural Land and
Lease Values Region 3 (San Joaquin, Stanislaus and Merced Counties) for the
last eight years with two statewide oral presentations and numerous local-speaking
engagements on this topic. Randy also served as the Education Coordinator
for the California Chapter ASMFRA in 1996 and 1997. He is a member of the
San Joaquin Valley Ag. Lenders Society (former committee member), the Stanislaus
Area Farm and Land Brokers Exchange, the Stanislaus County Farm Bureau, AG
ONE-CSU Fresno and serves as Vice President of the United States Marshals
Posse, Eastern District.
BIOGRAPHY
Jeffrey A. Lien
Jeff Lien is a 1990 graduate of California State University San Luis Obispo with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agricultural Business Management, concentration in Finance and Appraisal. After college, and a brief period with Home Savings & Loan in Santa Clara County as staff appraiser, Jeff spent the next six years with Sierra Bay Farm Credit Services (now Ag Credit) in Stockton, CA as a staff appraiser. In 1997, Jeff took a property management position with a Bay Area company specializing in multi-family residential units and commercial properties. In 1998, Jeff then signed on with, and continues to work as an independent real estate salesman/appraiser for The Ranch Co (TRC). TRC is a full service real estate services company, based in Visalia, CA, and specializes in dairy facilities, cropland and ranches (www.theranchcompany.net). Jeff is also a principal partner in Edwards & Lien (E&L), an agricultural appraisal business formed in April of 2001 with Randy Edwards, ARA. E&L's primary service area is the north central San Joaquin Valley region with specialization in farm, ranch, dairy facility, permanent planting, conservation easements, special use property appraisal and consultation.

He is a Candidate Member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers. In 1993 he was certified by the State of California as a Certified General Real Estate Appraiser.
Jeff currently serves on the ASFMRA's California Chapter Education Committee. He also currently serving as a third year board member of the San Joaquin Valley Ag Lenders Society. Jeff has also been involved with sales research for the annual Land Value Trends publication of the California Chapter ASFMRA.
Biography
Anthony J. “Tony” Toso
Tony graduated from Fresno State University, with a BS Animal Sci./Ag. Bus.
He has been married 13 years to his wife Danette. They have two children,
Alyssa (9 years old) and Gianna (7 years old). He has 10 years of CVPCA/FLBA
experience in the Oakdale/Merced/Turlock/Modesto area. He also has accrued
4 years of personal property experience with Edwards & Lien.
Tony grew up in West Modesto and now lives in Hornitos, Mariposa County. He
lives on a 585-acre cattle and horse ranch. He raises purebred Brangus cattle
and Paint and Quarter horses. During a typical year he runs 200 yearlings
each year. In his spare time he displays cattle at the major west coast shows.
Biography
Mary Anne Dores
Mary Anne Dores is a graduate of California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo. In 2002 she graduated with honors, receiving her Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Business with a concentration in Finance and Appraisal. Mary Anne gained solid appraisal experience as an intern with Edwards & Lien, Inc. with two summer internships. Shortly after graduation, in January of 2003, she joined the Edwards & Lien, Inc. appraisal team as an independent trainee appraiser. By August of 2003 she completed the requirements to receive her OREA Trainee Real Estate Appraiser License and now continues her appraisal education and experience, aspiring towards the attainment of a California Certified General Appraisal license. Mary Anne is also a second year Candidate Member of the American Society of Farm Managers and Rural Appraisers on track for the Accredited Rural Appraiser (ARA) professional designation.
Mary Anne and her husband Frank now reside in Atwater. She moved to Atwater
from her small, native town of Stevinson in Merced County. As the daughter
of a dairyman, she grew up on the family dairy farm and in high school became
very active in the FFA, exhibiting dairy cattle and sheep.
